Sino–French Cooperation in Publishing and Education

Sino–French Cooperation in Publishing and Education

As part of Singing Grass’s ongoing efforts to foster international publishing exchange, we curated a training programme for a Chinese academic publishing delegation to visit three key institutions in Paris — Syndicat national de l’édition (SNE), Editis Publishing Group, and KEDGE Business School.

Participating publishers:
Renmin University Press (Beijing)
Peking University Press (Beijing)
East China University of Science and Technology Press (Shanghai)
Xi’an Jiaotong University Press (Shaanxi)
Lanzhou University Press (Gansu)
Shaanxi Normal University Press (Shaanxi)

The visit offered valuable insights into the French publishing and education systems, with discussions on academic publishing in the age of AI, international copyright exchange, and the evolving role of publishers.

We were delighted to see growing potential for Sino–French collaboration across the humanities, social sciences, literature, education, and children’s publishing — marking another meaningful step toward a more connected global publishing community.
